Business of Forgiveness, words that seem to oppose each other actually have similarities. The word business conjures up images of beat the competition, cutthroat deals, and win at all costs. Forgiveness, on the other hand, produces images of pain, letting go, and release.

The concepts also share commonalities such as transactions, relationships, cutting losses, and earning profit. In business, the transaction is the exchange of a good or service for payment. In forgiveness, the transaction is the exchange the imprisonment of bitterness for the freedom of peace.

Both are relationship based. Business is about building relationships and networking to grow the customer base. Forgiveness is about rebuilding relationships with self and others. Through forgiveness, people can release the negative experiences and work on regaining trust with people especially those who hurt them.

Both also recognize the value of letting go of losses. When a new product or service fails in a business or the company struggles with a concept, they cut their losses and let go. Forgiveness is also about letting go of the loss. Instead of holding on to the pain, people learn to let go of the need to seek vengeance or pay back for the painful experience. People begin to experience healing and forgiveness through the process of letting go.

Both also product a return of investment and profitability. The time invested to create, market, and sell the product generates revenue for the business. Forgiveness produces a return on investment of the time to release the pain, heal, and become productive in life. Forgiveness can help a person grow and success in business and life because they are no longer held captive by the bitterness.
